Visit to Redondo Beach

Redondo beach is a pretty nice and clean beach.  I visited there, and got some nice pictures.

So many colors in one picture, U can see sky, sea, sand and land :)

Just giving the perfect pose :)

So clean water....just makes the mind relaxed

This is me.....if you don't like it, please scroll down to see other beautiful pics ;)

I made these birds fly so that I could take a pic of them taking flight. I tried couple times before I got this one.

I don't know about other people, but I like this. The kind of sound sea makes and the clear waves, they are just refreshing.

Expectations

Hmmm......this is a really debatable thing. You would find many people telling you that you should keep your expectations to a minimum. Every wise man would tell you not to have expectations.

Even in Bhagwad Gita, Bhagwan Shri Krishna says that

कर्मण्ये वाधिकारस्ते  फलेषु कदाचना
कर्मफलेह्तुर भुरमा ते संगोस्त्वकर्मानी॥

English transliteration:
Karmanye vadhikaraste ma phaleshu kadachna
Karmaphalehtur bhurma te sangostvakarmani.

Bhagwan Shri Krishna says that you have to do your rightful duties. The result is in His hands, he would provide you with the right kind of results of it.

So, basically the matter of fact is we should be doing our duties at all appropriate times with full devotion and potential without even expecting anything out of it or worrying what would be the outcome. But now the question is: Is it possible to have no expectation and still be able to provide your complete power and energy to some work? I don't know, I doubt it that anyone can do that.

Even in relations, it is wise to give your best to the person but not expect anything in return is considered to be the best possible situation. This is true to a large extent because the problems in any relations occur when the expections start to rise over and above the limits of person's capability to fulfill them.

So be it work or relations or anything where we start to grow expectations, it starts to get sour. Sourness is directly proportional to expectation. But in today's world, the expectations of good results is the only motivational factor to do the work, or be good in a relation. So I would say that one's dedication towards the deed / relation is directly proportional to the expectations. Now this makes the situations too weird because to keep things from getting sour, you have to reduce expectations and again to keep things going, you need to have some sort of expectation (Until you can kill this completely).

So, I believe that we need to strike a good balance of expectations and deeds which we do. And we should try to reach perfection where we zero out expectations and be dedicated to our duties and keep on doing it with full potential.

I would write more about it in coming days

Any suggestions / comments welcome :)

Waiting for election results

Hmmm......today in all Indian TV channels, there is only one talk. Election.....everyone is trying to forecast some number. Discussions discussions and more discussions on all channels. It seems that we are headed to a hung assembly. We would again see a big alliance game. All the enemies coming together and eating from the same plate. I mean, its funny how people change and act to get power or be shareholder in it.

Current polls are predicting that we are headed towards a congress lead government again. We would know pretty soon, waiting for May 16th which will tell the real numbers rather than predicted numbers. We would know who is going to manage (rather unmanage...lol) our country.

Keep your hopes on folks......post in your opinions if any.

Gayatri Mantra

Gayatri Mantra

Devnagri Script:
ॐ भूर्भुवः स्वः
तत् सवितुर्वरेण्यं
भर्गो देवस्य धीमहि
धियो यो नः प्रचोदयात् ॥

English transliteration:
Om bhūr bhuvah svah
tat savitur varenyam
bhargo devasya dhīmahi
dhiyo yo nah prachodayāt.

Meaning:
May the Almighty God illuminate our intellect to lead us along the righteous path!

Oh God! Thou art the Giver of Life,
Remover of pain and sorrow,
The Bestower of happiness,
Oh! Creator of the Universe,
May we receive thy supreme sin-destroying light,
May Thou guide our intellect in the right direction.

Gayatri mantra is a really powerful mantra. It can give you positive energy as soon as you recite it. I have experienced it myself. Come what may, Gayatri mantra has helped me sail out of the problems.

Jai Maa Gayatri. Wish all of you best of luck for your endeavors.

Pictures from my hiking - Malibu Creek Park

This was the lake at the park. In a hot day, when we reached at its shore, we felt really cool. You can never feel so good to reach such a lovely lake when you have been hiking for hours in the hot sun.

This was the kind of entry to paradise. We were entering from sun to shades of green trees. It seems as if a gateway has been created by the trees here.
This is a waterfall (manmade, concrete) falling out of the lake. And its consistency attracts you completely towards itself.
The quiet bird, we clicked from just a meter away from it.

It's All About Mindset

As my friend was passing the elephants, he suddenly stopped, confused by the fact that these huge creatures were being held by only a small rope tied to their front leg. No chains, no cages. It was obvious that the elephants could, at anytime, break away from the ropes they were tied to but for some reason, they did not. My friend saw a trainer nearby and asked why these beautiful, magnificent animals just stood there and made no attempt to get away.

"Well," he said, "when they are very young and much smaller we use the same size rope to tie them and, at that age, it's enough to hold them. As they grow up, they are conditioned to believe they cannot break away. They believe the rope can still hold them, so they never try to break free." My friend was amazed. These animals could at any time break free from their bonds but because they believed they couldn't, they were stuck right where they were.

Like the elephants, how many of us go through life hanging onto a belief that we cannot do something, simply because we failed at it once before? So make an attempt to grow further.... Why shouldn't we try it again?

Your attempt may fail, but never fail to make an attempt !

Choose not to accept the false boundaries and limitations created by the past !
